    I may have the kit in my truck which is parked at the club today, if so I will leave it for you. Otherwise it is at home and I can bring it to Windyfeat/Raven for Thursday racing.
    No need to worry about the beer. I don't know if you want to cross your halyards inside the mast, we do, enables you to jump the halyard from the high side of the boat. Sailed with Russ, the owner of the other red Choate 27, Flexible Flyer at Cow Bay.

    Hey Dan, that's what I have on mine: roofing rubber glued with some sort of industrial strength Firestone brand glue into a tube-like arrangement. A metal collar holds it tight. The rigging/tennis racket tape is for the top, to keep water from coming into the tube.

    I don't have much of a choice because of the fraculator.

    And the reason why people don't do this: most places where people keep sailboats don't have that much rain, and it's pretty ugly. It does work well on my boat: the mast is black.
