Default Need to access to VHF test ICOM HM-157

I've got an ICOM IC-M402 on my boat that I bought a ram mic (CommandMic II, HM-157) off Craigslist for and when I first turn on the radio, the speaker beeps nice and loud and seems normal. Very quickly however the speaker gets so quiet that it's unusable. I'm looking for another ICOM radio to test this RAM mic on. Does anyone out there have an ICOM radio that they'd let me plug this mic into for testing? I think any M4xx, M5xx or M6xx series radio should be compatible.

Icom has a warehouse near the south end of the Massey Tunnel in Delta (close to Tsawassen), as well as at least one local repair technician; I suggest you get in touch with them, and ask how you can get the unit tested.

Most people are likely hesitant to volunteer their onboard VHF for testing, as the handheld may be the problem, and could harm their unit. Also, we're all very lazy.

I figured that might be the case...the fear and the laziness, thanks for the info on ICOM locations.
