Saving money: Early bird pricing is in effect for each course - registering early will save you money. Or you can wait and pay more. Your choice!

Saving more money on renewals: this training and the certificates are valid for 5 years. Participants who have previously taken this 2 day course through BC Sailing are eligible for a 25% reduction in the registration price. Have your expired/expiring certificate number ready when registering, as you will need it to select this option.

Can you advise when registration for the March course at WV will be open? Or if there is a waiting list to sign up on if someone drops out of the Feb course?

Upcoming course information is accessible via the link provided above.

There are 2 day courses on Feb 24-25 at RVanYC and on Apr 28-29 at WVYC.
There are 1 day seminars on Mar 17 at SNSYC and on Mar 24 at WVYC.

See http://bcsailing.bc.ca/safetyatsea.php
Alternately, see https://www.wvyc.ca/Default.aspx?p=D...d=290150&vnf=1

There is no formal waitlist for full classes. An email to sas@bcsailing.bc.ca couldn't hurt.

Default Safety at Sea - where to find the most current information

The BC Safety at Sea program has information posted on three websites:
  • BC Sailing
  • RVanYC Vic-Maui
  • WVYC
The BC Sailing website is under renovation and the Safety at Sea information there is currently incomplete / out of date.

We are also in the process of evolving the published information on all three websites to better represent the two available courses:
  • Safety at Sea Seminar (1 day) for coastal and offshore
  • Offshore Personal Survival Course (2 day, with pool drills), for offshore and oceanic.

For the time being, the most current information is available on the Vic-Maui website at http://www.vicmaui.org/sas-intro
