I was at Thetis Island 3 weeks ago. Tied up Saturday night after a warm up in boat went up for Drinks and dinner at pub . Closed by 7.30 It has to be tough in the winter to pay costs. On a happier note Moby's pub in Ganges is up and rockin again. Not meaning to hi jack Silva Bay thread.

Even the pub on Bowen fails every couple of winters, and that is pretty much destination #1 for every boat in Vancouver that gets out in the winters, plus they have a decent local population there, and most of the locals have to drive past it twice a day.

Get more remote like Thetis and I can't imagine how they'd stay open in winter. Silva would be sort of in between the two I would think?

Silva Bay Marina has been for sale for a while, but apparently not at an attractive price.

Poet's Cove is also for sale.
