My plan is to wet sand which is allowed at Trites in Steveston. It is worn pretty thin. I don't have to do the foils. I am having a challenge finding coarse grit wet & dry paper but will try Acklands.

If it all goes well, will have the hull bare by Friday pm, then barrier coats over the weekend and then Starit Marine will use their airless applicator to apply the new paint.

I find if I roll it on myself I end up sanding alot of it off, whereas the spray goes on very smooth.

If you need to practice for Rubato, come and join us....

I have to take about 3 applications (mutli layers each) of Petit Premium off, will likely do it March time frame. I'm contemplating bringing a Green product over from Europe, don't think it's available here yet. It's a brush on, wait an hour and use a plastic scraper type process. Here's a video from a fellow Hanse owner https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktRHKettA1c He didn't use quite enough in the video but speaking with him he claims it was a pretty easy and quick process - despite his grunting in the video The product is from KMI

Well the Spring is very busy with Patos, swiftsure, Saltspring plus Cow Bay and 12 VARC events leaves a pretty small window of warm weather. But certainly would rather be sailing!

Default Round the Rock 2015

Well Raven is almost ready to race, amazing how much effort goes into prepping for the Van Isle 360. It is the 5th time around and we started the process two years ago with room reservations and there are still a couple of items to address this week before casting off.

A big thank you to the supporting cast including Evolution Sails, Strait Marine, Protech Rigging, Wun Hung Lo, Windyfeat, and Serge for their commitment to the boats electronics, 6ft6 for the liferaft, the entire team has been busy replacing lines, & blocks, cleaning.

Looking forward to the amended Leg 1 and the day racing in Comox, great fleet of 52 boats.
