I get 6.1 down 0.4 up its the package that comes with basic cable from shaw, not sure how much it is.

I've had really bad problems with jitter during peak hours before, not able to stream movies or make calls without dropped audio. You can get significant performance gains by using a router with QoS that allows you to restrict your speed. When you hit your limits and its busy your ISP tends to buffer traffic HEAVILY increasing the time it takes to get from a to b.

Say for instance you have 10 down 1 up if you set you router to limit your traffic to 80% ish you can get significant overal performance gains for a small sacrifice for peak speed which you won't miss.

Interesting test this afternoon. I just got the iPhone5 whos speed has impressed me. Then I got a cover. My speed without a cover is 9.5/2.7

My speed with a cover is 2.4/2.1

I'm returning the cover this afternoon.

A cover always slows things down a bit, but that's about the only good thing about it

I just got a new phone, the HTC One, and ran the test and got 5956kbps, I thought " I guess that's fast enough... Then I realized that it was on my house wifi. I disabled the wifi and tested it on LTE: Holy CRAP! 34418kbps down and 22780kbps up! My mobile connection kicks the crap out of my home connection! I think it's time to complain to Telus!
