Default America's Cup TV Coverage

Ok - so whats' the scoop on LIVE TV coverage for the AC this week ?

I see it listed at NBC Sports Network at from 12:30pm - 3:00pm tomorrow - does any of the Telus or Shaw cable packages include NBC Sport Net ??

What I am really asking is, where can we go tomorrow afternoon to drink a few beers and catch the race ? I'm sick of the soccer fans being the only ones who can slink out of the office to watch their sport ?

Any of the local clubs sharp enough to have the races on live ?

Ayone else keen to play a little bit of hookie to watch the race ?

Youtube feed is decent resolution and can be played anywhere with at least 2010 technology. I watched the weekend races on my TV at home, sort of doubtful you could predict where the races will be on in a pub.

YouTube is really the way to watch it. I was astounded last night when I got home though and the title for the Youtube show was "Kiwis and Oracle split races 3&4" when I had tried soooo hard to ignore all internet all day so I could find out for myself who won. I have a friend way up in AC who I complained to and he spoke to youtube and has assured me from now on the results will not appear in the title of the video. :-) It's too bad they arent using Ken Reid for more than just post race interviews but Outeridges' commentary is actually pretty good, and we only have to listen to Jobsen every half hour or so....

Also check the Sportsnet channels. I missed the NBC coverage yesterday afternoon but it was replayed on Sportsnet at 6pm. Amazing to watch on 60" HDTV.

Broadcast on SportsNet (Shaw Channel 224) from 10 to midnight. I agree--spectacular on a big HD TV.

All the TV coverage I have seen has been ruined by excessive commercials. One race of the LV cut to commercial on leg 2 and returned to coverage just in time to see the boats returning to the dock after the race! At least I was educated on the latest feminine hygiene Products I guess.

It's Youtube from now on!

I was thinking of taking my laptop down to WVYC tomorrow and stream it on the bigscreen by the bar. If you can't watch AC at a yacht club...

A bit of a drive for you cross towners, but Ty, you game?
