Cheap tiller extensions, hose clamps, and plumbing pipe. Stop right there. You are done. Save your money for helium-filled V-berth cushions.

Are you kidding? I don't have V-berth cushions. They're far too heavy...




Joking, but seriously don't have them. No human being should ever have to sleep in the V-berth of a Choate 27 so a previous owner wisely discarded them along the way. It's very small and is also the "seperated head".

Just bolt an old batten into the shifter and use it as an extension. It can rest on the aft lifeline.

This is not a new problem and has been solved easily many times before.

I'm not sure why Ultraman thinks you need some old bat to do your shifting for you, but I guess as long as she's willing to sit on the rail when you're sailing that could work ...
