Default Round Saltspring

Coming up next weekend. Over 100 boats signed up. Missed it last year because we sold our boat this week.

Excalibur is in. UK Sails is sponsoring a team award, so if your club has 3 boats going, get a team signed up. So far it is just Royal Victoria with a team entered.

Who else from our community is headed over?

Raven will be racing, departing Friday morning about 9:30, probably Active Pass, returning Sunday after the breakfast and awards.

I believe Point Roberts has at least 3 boats going, I'll alert them to the team award!

I'm looking at the list thinking our 76 rating might put us in Div 3 - that is a fast fleet!

Think I might be 72 or 75 down there but not sure if they will rerate us or just let us use our BC number. This race will be digital most years anyways - get through the tidal gates and be in the top group, or don't...

I hope for you sake, that they abolished the Light and Heavy divisions! Last time I did the race - say 3 years ago, I was in the slow / light division with M242 and olson 30's etc........The j 35's and 115's were in the light fast division, and the express 37, 36.7's, j 109's were in the heavy fast division, starts were about 10 minutes apart All based on D/L ratios - which, I think we just spend a week discussing how they are not overly accurate.

Schnick, start emailing the organizers, cause that in itself, is just daft!
