Never seen one of these before:

I remember Gary and Barbara's Kirby 30, think it was called Avanti and it definitely has an outboard well in the middle of the cockpit. Cross trained on it during my opti career which was cut short at age 15.

C&C Half Ton never shone as far as I can recall. Odd mast track for main sail IIRC and painful tuning fork style cockpit arrangement - probably seemed like a good idea at the time. Chaser 29 much better design from that era.

Did my first Straits on the old Hortense! Think I was also in optis at the time and wore my drysuit the whole race.

While visiting a little marina on the Fraser this guy was tied up. Has Squamish plates - what the heck is it?

Irwin 30 half ton. Came to Squamish when I was about 13, made the rounds of Vancouver, now saved from washing up on dog beach but will die slow death in the blind channel.

Yup - Irwin 1/2 Ton: http://sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id=1262 above waterline chine - kind of like a Scampi. Was last at VRC IIRC and sold maybe a couple of years ago. Never a really competitive half ton design. We demolished it in about 25 kts on the old Hortense (going back a long ways there).

This one is a fixed keel version. IIRC, there was a version with bilge boards or maybe a triple board (bilge boards and dagger board). In the deck view of the sailboatdata drawing it looks like there are bilge board 'cassettes' (for lack of a better term) and in the GA and profile, it looks like there is a daggerboard slot. I know there were a few IOR triple boarders built, although the bilge boarders (particularly Terrorist) gained more notice.
