Can you advise on the Remembrance Day Pursuit Race for 2017?

It works for me - are you using a VPN for outside of Canada? Someone had the same problem for the VRC website a few months ago when he tried the link from overseas

I can confirm the VRC payment page doesn't work from US Internet addresses. Opera browser has a built-in Canadian (and US amongst others) IP address VPN if you need a quick free solution.

Is there a list of current registrants somewhere?

Sadly not yet, sorry Chris! We are seeing good registration numbers, though, pretty much all of last year's fleet will be back plus a couple others!

For any skippers still looking for crew - please email me, I have lots of experienced people looking for boats! raceofficer@vrcracing.ca

Polar Bear NOR and SIs are now posted!

See them online at: http://vrcracing.ca/polarbear/

Please also register your boat online at that same link if you haven't yet.

Questions? Need crew? We can help! email raceofficer@vrcracing.ca

Default Division Splits

Have the division splits been looked at recently? I am not sure what the registration numbers look like now, but I think that using (slightly modified) VARC divisions would result in better-matched boats, and more fun racing for skippers and crew in the 150+ PHRF range.

I'd propose going to the following division splits:
1: < PHRF 99
3: PHRF 100 - PHRF 174
7: > PHRF 175

Division numbers are taken from VARC, but VRC might want to change to 1,2,3.

Divisions 3 and 4 (150-199 and 200+ respectively) were not especially well matched or attended last year, and it seems like the VARC splits do a better job of matching more similar boats together, while broadening PB div 4 (VARC 7).
